Cooling water loss and negative pressure

I bought Steel Seal because our car was leaking cooling water and there was also a vacuum, about half a liter of water per day. I did everything according to the instructions, even flushed the cooling circuit with 30 liters of water, and then filled a bottle of Steel Seal into the expansion tank with new water. Then let the engine warm up and again 30 minutes after reaching operating temperature. Then left to cool down overnight. The next morning, no water loss and no more vacuum. Engine runs smoothly again. Can really only recommend Steel Seal. Thanks for the super product!

Faced with the choice: scrap or try Steel Seal

Coolant loss occurred for the first time at mileage 230,000. I went to the workshop. Answer: Observe. Water loss has not improved. The water pump was then replaced. So I drove on. Water loss remained. Workshop: Continue to monitor...

I did this for 3!!! years and topped up from time to time. No water in the oil or oil in the coolant. At some point I got fed up and the garage said it could only be the head gasket. But I get a loan car and it costs 1200 euros. It was too expensive for an old A-Class, so I drove on and topped it up. After a 1,000 kilometer drive with a trailer, the time had come. From then on, I had to top up the coolant every day.

Then faced with the choice of scrapping or trying Steel Seal.

Since I need the car (Ackergaulauto because I am renovating a half-timbered house) I was desperate and ordered the product after consulting customer service. (Could work...)

So I applied Steel Seal on May 14, 2022. I left the car overnight and drove a moderate 100 kilometers the next day. Topped up with coolant beforehand, as a little was still lost during the application. I had pure water in it, WITHOUT antifreeze.

I then drove 6 weeks and 1200 kilometers, and he wanted another 0.2 liters refilled. What's small compared to topping up almost every day. Even my neighbors have noticed that I no longer open my hood every day to top up.

Last week, I hit the highway for the first time after 2000 kilometers. I commute between Görlitz and Coburg. That's 370 kilometers. I now know every rest area because I've always had to stop somewhere to top up the coolant for the last 3 years. I drove through last week WITHOUT a refill stop. After 2500 kilometers back on 20.07.2022, that was the hottest day ever. And I left the car running. Highway and full throttle A4. It lost water but I was finally able to drive through. Always had to stop 3 times before. It's probably because I didn't quite reach the engine temperature when I first applied it and the product didn't get everywhere.

The Steel Seal is brilliant. I would recommend it to anyone who has problems with the CCD. I haven't had the problems with the heating mentioned in some forums afterwards. But that's probably because I look after my vehicles.

I am not an advertising partner or influencer. The product is worth the money, especially in seemingly hopeless cases. I have also used competitor products. They do not work.

I had the diagnosis from the workshop on 18.02.2022: Cylinder head gasket defective due to overheating. Cost estimate for the repair approx. 1000,- to 1500,- Euro. I then spent several days researching online and found reports about Steel Seal. Without further ado, I bought it from Autoteile Pannenbecker in Willich on 25.02.2022 and used it a week later according to the instructions. So far as of 21.03.2022 and approx. 500 km further no more white smoke no more coolant in the oil (of course I changed the oil). Conclusion: It works I am very enthusiastic and many thanks to the Steel Seal team.

Liquid loss in the cooling system

As described, fill into the expansion tank, which was virtually empty. Then let the engine run for 1 hour with the heating turned up to full. WOW! In the morning, 12 hours later, no more stains on the floor. Driven 220 KM. No more fluid loss! Coolant tank half full. Saved 1000 euros. Great stuff! Thanks Steel Seal!
