NL Of course, it can happen that the damage to the defective head gasket is already too far advanced for a repair with Steel Seal®. No repair solution of this kind can guarantee a 100 percent success rate. For this reason, we do not promise that Steel Seal® will repair the head gasket damage in all cases at the first attempt.
However, as long as the engine still starts and the problem is addressed in a timely manner, there really is no product with a higher success rate in permanently sealing a leaking head gasket. It is unlikely that Steel Seal® will fail when used properly. However, should this happen, we will gladly reimburse you under our Money-back guarantee* If requested, we will refund the purchase price or deliver a replacement product free of charge (see below or point 10 of our GTC).
Warranty conditions
- A Warranty claim per registered motor vehicle: Free replacement product or Purchase price refund up to a maximum of the RRP on our website.
- The manufacturer's Recommended quantity Steel Seal® as indicated on the product label, must have been used (max. 3 bottles).
- The guarantee application must completely filled out and signed and together with the below mentioned Proof (3 x) within 30 days from the date of purchase by e-mail to garantie@steelseal.de or by post to Steel Seal Germany GmbH, Dorfstr. 20, 90617 Puschendorf be transmitted.
Warranty application
Please complete our warranty application in full and send it to us together with the following documents/evidence:
- Proof of purchase from Steel Seal® from an authorized specialist dealer (complete list: Specialist dealer card).
- A copy of the Registration certificate part 1 of the vehicle with the Steel Seal® was used unsuccessfully.
- One Proof of the defective cylinder-head gasket yourself. We will gladly accept one of the following proofs:
- Written diagnosis or inspection report from a specialist automotive workshop subject to VAT showing a defect in the cylinder head gasket; e.g. Compression or CO2 coolant test (within 30 days of purchase).
- One Invoice with VAT shown. about the Replacing the cylinder head gasket from a specialist garage.
- One Test or breakdown report of an automobile club (e.g. ADAC, ÖAMTC) which Defective cylinder head gasket confirmed (within 30 days of purchase).
- One Proof of disposal or recycling of the affected vehicle (within 30 days of purchase).
- One official deregistration confirmation (CH: Cancellation) of the vehicle in question (within 30 days of purchase).
* The manufacturer's money-back guarantee is offered as an additional option and does not restrict the statutory right of withdrawal. You can find more information on this under point 10 in our GTCs.
Warranty Plus
With a free registration for our Warranty Plus within 14 days from the date of purchaseyou can use the Warranty claim for a Free replacement product for your vehicle from 30 days to lifetime* extend.
This is in the unlikely event that the effect of Steel Seal® decreases at a later point in time and a new application is necessary.
