Cooling water loss [Audi A4, 2002]
We were about to sell our Audi A4 because of coolant loss when I came across Steel Seel's ad! My trusted mechanic had heard of it before! Followed the instructions exactly! Unfortunately, he first had to drain the pink coolant and flush the cooling system. But I have to say, it worked! So far it hasn't lost any coolant or given any error messages! The repair has saved our car! It's a shame that so few mechanics are aware of this possibility! Bernhard Mücke 30.06.2023, 95361 Ködnitz |
Compression pressure in the cooling circuit [Cadillac Seville, 2003]
I had compression pressure in the cooling circuit of my Cadillac. First I located the defective cylinder and switched it off (spark plug out and injection disconnected). I then used Steel Seal as prescribed. When I drove the car the next day, all the previous problems had disappeared as if by magic. I saved myself more than 2,500 euros in repair costs by using Steel Seal. Great stuff! Thank you! Arnold Schmid 01.09.2023, 72108 Rottenburg |
White smoke, water loss approx. 1.5l / 100km [AUDI A4, 1.9 TDI, 2004]
So, from one day to the next, Audi loves water instead of burning diesel. Massive water loss and unsteady engine running and High pressure in the cooling system. At 250,000 kilometers, the repair no longer makes sense. Did a bit of research and came across Steel Seal. I read lots of positive reviews and also a few where it didn't work. At a price of €79, I didn't have much confidence at first, but I took the risk. According to the instructions, without frost protection to avoid any chemical reactions. The result the next morning was sobering, still white smoke.... Anyway, I'll leave the mixture in and continue to drive and observe, it's already too late anyway. 2nd day no more smoke and now after 10 days and approx. 1700KM no water loss, no pressure in the cooling system, no smoke! I will continue to use the mixture until October and will then replace the coolant. In my case, the product worked very well and served me well! I would use it again. Engine light on and temperature in the red range [Opel Agila A, 1.6 Petrol, 2001]
Problem: Engine light on, temperature in the red range and water vapor from the exhaust After using Steel Seal: Engine light off, temperature remains constant at 90° degrees and no more water vapor from the exhaust. As if nothing had ever happened... I will recommend it to others! Hans-Joachim Schubert 15.06.2023, 84048 Mainburg |
Cooling water in cylinder [cabin cruiser with Peugeot XDP4.88 engine]
Problem: Coolant in the cylinder. I had replaced the cylinder head gasket but didn't have the head flattened as it still looked quite good. When everything was reassembled, the engine ran again but smoked quite a lot. I then replaced the injectors. In the process, I noticed water in one of the four cylinders. Fortunately, after using Steel Seal, everything is now dry in the cylinder. I drained the cooling water and filled the cooling system exclusively with distilled water and a bottle of Steel Seal. That's how it worked for me. Philipp Keyl 02.06.2023, 26721Emden |
Cooling water loss without leakage [Mazda 3, 2.2 CD, 2012]
I have to say I was initially very skeptical as to whether this stuff could really deliver what it promises. I followed the instructions meticulously, flushing the lines in advance because there is too much antifreeze in them, but I didn't have to as my Mazda 2.2l diesel had already been refilled with distilled water several times. One bottle is supposed to last up to 2.4l displacement, so the Mazda was included. Pour the bottle directly into the radiator and then fill it up with distilled water, the rest that was missing in the radiator. Let the car warm up, then let it run for another 30 minutes. Then switched off the engine. I wanted to be sure and left the car for 24 hours. Before the first drive, I poured in water and drove just under 15 km. After the car was cold again, I had to fill up with water again. I was already disappointed and feared that it hadn't worked and that I had paid 80 euros for it. I thought that was it and drove on carefully (as on the first trip, I shifted up early, never above 2000 rpm). Stopped at work about 50km later. After work, I checked the cooling water as usual. Lo and behold, only about a quarter of the usual water consumption. Back again, relaxed, checked the next day, not even a shot glass refilled. So it was clearly working! I continued to drive relaxed for a week. After the late shift, 15 minutes on the highway at 200km/h. No more water consumption! No more water consumption!!! A clear recommendation! Everything wasn't perfect the first time I started it, but it was perfect later on. So it seems to have worked for me with a delay. So don't throw away your nerves if there are still symptoms on the first day after application. Just keep riding and let Steel Seal take effect. Florian Dor 21.01.2025, 23564 Lübeck |
